It is located on the square of the Broekbeeklaan Avenue. Free parking. This is a very quiet street and Broekbeek is about 100 m from the forest. You can walk in about 1 ½ hours through the forest and the dunes to the beach and in 10 minutes to the Centre of our beautiful village Bergen. The beach in Bergen aan Zee is 5 Km away. Approximately 20 minutes on the bike.

Bergen is a popular tourist destination on the North Sea coast.
ENVIRONMENT Wonderful area for walking and cycling, horseback riding, mountain biking, dunes, beach, forest and pasture, shops, cinema, restaurants, theatre, museums, art and culture, subtropical swimming pool, sailing, surfing, kitesurfing.
ART AND CULTURE Bergen is the home of many painters, writers and architects. The museum Kranenburgh in Bergen has an impressive collection of art works of the Bergense School. A weekend at the end of May there is the Woodlands festival. There are in the summer period on Thursday and Friday night, art markets and fairs. In August the International Holland Music Summer Academy with many concerts and master classes by young musicians. In addition there is the annual music festival Jazz and Sail in early september and the Kunst10daagse in the fall. Throughout the year there are regular concerts in the Ruinekerk Church.
ATTRACTIONS/ACTIVITIES There are polder Mills to the North and South of Bergen. The Sea Aquarium in Bergen aan Zee. North of the village are the Schoorlse Duinen, a nature area with the highest and widest dunes of the Netherlands, for lovely walks and cycling. There is a great mountain bike path of 16.3 km. Along the coast is the beautiful long distance walk. North Holland has many beautiful historical villages and also for less beautiful weather great tourist spots. The Museum Broeker Veiling in Langedijk, where you can buy a flowercoal on the historical way. Also by boat between the polder ilands. The Zuiderzee museum in Enkhuizen. For example with the steam tram or by boat via the IJsselmeer. The Schermer Mills very interesting to view from within. The fishing villages of Volendam and Marken. Cheese dairy in Edam. The cheese market in Alkmaar the whole summer period, Cheese museum and the Stedelijk Museum. A day trip to Amsterdam. Even Texel is nearby for a day. There are many more interesting Museums in North Holland.
